Stevia Opinions

On this page we would like to collect your own opinions and experiences with stevia.  For that purpose, we will start different surveys. The newest survey and the data of old ones can always be found on this page.

Additionally we invite you to give a short comment and write about your experience with the sweat leaf.  Below the survey you’ll find a link to the news post, please take part in the discussion on its comments section

As we see a big potential in making food with the sweat leave, we already started a stevia recipes section where we will add tasty recipes from time to time.

16% use Stevia for “other things”, read their comments.

As we also experienced by ourselves most readers couldn’t find any side effects of stevia (51%) or found positive effects(15%). So 66% voted positive for stevia. 10% are not sure, we think that they experienced side effects but cannot tell if they come from stevia. So this 10% cannot really be counted against stevia, but it is probably the worst case for you because you don’t know if you should use it. As 12% selected, that they didn’t try stevia so far, there are 14% left who say stevia is bad for the human body. The larger group of 10% experienced strong side effects. Unfortunately we didn’t get many comments on the type of side effects they found. So we cannot tell how accurate these votes are. Additionally 4% found little stevia side effects.

As expected, most people surfing our site (36% ) seem to really like the taste of the sweet plant. 27% couldn’t find any difference beetween the taste of stevia and sugar. That is a little surprising, as there definitely is a little difference in the aftertaste in our opinion. This just shows again, that people got different tastes, so there are also people who don’t like the sweat leaf (9%). Alltogether, stevia would probably do pretty good as a popular sweetener in our everyday life.
